Having successfully upgraded my turntable motor I'm tempted to try some more hi-fi DIY. Anyone got any experience of these? https://bottlehead.com/?product=crack-o ... lifier-kit
They look ideal for a first project, just curious if anyone has any other recommendations.

Rega Planar 3 motor looking for a good home
I've upgraded the motor on my Planar 3 so the old one is just lying idle. Happy to see it go to a nice home. It's in perfect condition – might be useful for someone building a turntable. No money wanted, but I'm in Kildare and would prefer not to ship it.

Repairing headphones – soldering query
Hi there. My beloved Denon headphones came a cropper last week when I accidentally wrenched them out of my PC and destroyed the jack. I've bought a replacement jack from Amazon and plan to solder it soon. I need a soldering iron and was planning on just getting something cheap from Woodies: http://w...

Sharing on Spotify.
Pretty much my main source of music nowadays (quiet down the back). Whatever I might think about the quality, I now discover more music on a weekly basis than I'd have done in a year before I subscribed. One of the nice things is hooking up with people and sharing music. The tools are still a bit li...

Re: Hi-res audio on Blu-Ray
Ideally they'll work without the need for a screen. Insert the disc and they'll play.

Hi-res audio on Blu-Ray
Just came across this. Probably old news but I thought it worth posting.
New BR discs dedicated to audio which will play n any BR player.
Could be interesting.

Re: the "my first turntable thread".....
Hope I'm not hijacking the thread guys but I was wondering if any TT gurus have any opinions on a Rega Planar 3. I've seen one advertised close to me and might have a look. Are new Rega or Pro-jects a better buy or any other recommendations for a good budget TT also welcome. Thanks,Shane. Can't rea...
