Re: Interesting shops throughout Europe

Spain: I see this place on youtube every now and then, might be a good place to visit https://audiomarbella.com/ Some lovely vintage kit there, but it's overpriced in my opinion. For example. there's a Clearaudio Emotion turntable with a Shure M75 there for €1,499. I bought a second hand one with a ...

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Love this, one of his most commercial, but fantastic slide guitar. Never fails to put a smile on my face and to cheer me up. And the Dave Fanning theme, (after/before Another Girl Another Planet?) brings me back to my years of wonder! https://www.udiscovermusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Rory-Ga...

Desk/Bench

This desk/bench was custom made to fit in an alcove in our house by a previous owner. If anybody has a use for it it's theirs for a couple of bottles of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It's 1.96m at the longest point, 1.37m at the deepest and 0.6m at the narrowest. It was custom made to fit in an alcov...

Re: Bits and bobs

I can't remember the company name, but do they call themselves, (slightly pretentiously) sound sommeliers?

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Can’t find the one I’m looking for (BTWOS) so this’ll have to do. Nice one Dermot, that must have been close enough to the end for Sabbath. Probably has Tommy Clufetos on drums, he'd been with Ozzy's band. Mind you after reading the book I realised, I really didn't know who was in the band at any g...

One of the great could have, should have, made it bigger bands. Live from the Paradiso, Amsterdam 1979. The audience don't sound too up for it, but the band give it a bash.

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Since I signed up to Tidal I've been going over albums or groups I didn't like in the way back when I first heard them. In 2024 I don't know why I didn't take to Family in 1970, (maybe because I was only 12 at the time!). Anyway, I'm making up for it now. On this album, side one is live and side two...

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Those clips reminded me how good Fleetwood Mac were. I can never make sense of how they ended up the way they did, mega successful but a universe away from their roots. Speaking of how good artists were, I gave this a blast to get a little sun on a showery day https://i.discogs.com/S0AGU9_ApIuXyonKa...

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Yesterday I went digging for cheap second hand CDs in a local store, and for less than 15 euro I found: Ten Years After: cricklewood green Lyle Lovett: joshua judges ruth Depeche Mode: sounds of the universe They span 40 years between the oldest one (1970) and the most recent one (2009) and they co...

What a tragic end! So sad, but not unique, I'm sure.
