Re: Best way to copy (clone) OS to another drive
Hi, Keep in mind that the bootloader installed currently on your memory stick may be configured to boot from that memory stick only, or from a memory stick in general, but not from SATA disk. Once you copied the memory stick image onto the SATA module you may need to update the bootloader as well. T...

Re: Best way to copy (clone) OS to another drive
Hi, I am not saying that this is the best, but it is quite simple one: 1. Connect the SATA DOM (destination device) 2. Boot any live Linux distribution 3. Connect the memory stick (source device) 4. Verify now devices are recognized by the Linux. You need to identify the source and the destination. ...

Re: It didn't explode....... YET (aka niges amp)
Longshot: maybe there something shorting the battery cell(s) and they got flat?
Just measure the voltage on each cell. If it is nominal on each cell, they this may be faulty volt indicator only.

I can do 603 without magnification - no problem. I did a couple of 402 but with a good daylight. I guess positioning them is the tough part. Once you hold them properly in place it gets easier. Also, BGA balls can be used to take just enough of solder on your soldering tip.

Also worth taking a look on diyaudio and seeing what kits are hot at the moment. Maybe not super hot at the moment, but worth noting: Gainwire mk2 and Salas DCG3 http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/235695-nfb-line-amp-gainwire-mk2.html http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analog-line-level/296406-...

If LM338t is under consideration, then LT1084 or LT1083 is much better choice.
