Re: SDTrans 384?
I have just bought a SDTrans384 after reading the whole DIYAudio thread. Among others, I was impressed by Jonathan Carr (from Lyra cartridges) post stating he had heard the best digital sounds with this transport. I also have a Soekris DAC and I wonder if it could be used in a similar way to the ES9...

Re: MQN
I always check if the DAC uses the Thesycon USB-drivers, which I consider to be the best and are certainly the most configurable I have seen. Though the Thesycon sometimes still had issues where Gordon's drivers did not (I'm not sure which drivers Gordon is actually using). I have been in (sometime...

Re: Is I2S the best interface for digital audio?
Further internet reading showed possible flaws with the above config: PI has just one clock and generates jitter in 44.1, and it might truncate 24 to 16 bits because of DMA constraints.

Re: Is I2S the best interface for digital audio?
I'd like to try Raspberry PI 2 -> Audio-GD I2S output connector (http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/diy/I2Skits/I2SEN.htm) -> HDMI cable -> I2S DAC.
It seems to work. https://volumio.org/forum/raspberry-mus ... 41-10.html

Is I2S the best interface for digital audio?
It seems that the I2S technology is maturing to be used to connect a PC to a DAC.
Products like Pink Faun I2S Bridge ST and several I2S ready DACs have made this technology available now.
Anyone using it? How does it sound compared to USB and SPDIF?

Re: MoBo Memory Power Bypass
Sligolad and nige2000,
I took the picture after finishing the assembly and, fortunately, when connecting to the PSU, I noticed the cap terminals were inverted. I was so carried way with the improvement that I forgot the picture was misleading. I edited the post with a warning.
