There is a Clearaudio Reference of some sort in Cloney's for a special sale price of around 6K. Down from its original 12k. Terrific value and would look great in your sitting room.

I actually heard it last week in the shop. Sounded really nice.

I only discovered 2 months ago that Dave Roback passed away. Very sad news. That trio of albums from Mazzy Star back then are really special.

I think your wife should take over control of your hifi system from here on in! As mentioned to you elsewhere once I get the motor on my Clearaudio Performance serviced, it might be up for sale. I've been reading up on them lately. They have a nice valve phonostage but it's just under 3k sterling which was out of my budget. I'll be down there tomorrow so might get a listen if they have anything set up. That amp has an mm/mc stage. Looks nice and if I had speakers it would be worth a look b...
