Re: MQN

2.60 sse4 intel 8 4 best SQ for me, 8 add is a bit tight and digital sounding Same preference here. 8 add is too much 'in my face' and 'up front' Just had another listening session, given the way my system was sounding and my hearing tonight it was 2.59 sse4 intel 8 4 16 16 8 that kept me coming ba...

Re: MQN

I have to counter the hairy arsed engineer type comments being bandied about, MQn uses state of the art coding techniques/tools and instructions and has been peer reviewed by a very experienced c++/assembly programmer (yammamoto2000), it didn't get to sound like that by accident, if it was that eas...

Re: MQN

I've just joined forum and hear some great reports on SQ compared to other software players. However, I cannot get my DAC to recognise / play at all - I've tried lots of different builds and none seems to work - I can get MQNPlayer.exe running in task manager but no sound. I suspect it's because, in...

Re: MQN

I think Pearse is right it would be sensible to sit back take stock rather than rabid posting just to get started on here. Selfishly I wish Gordon would try and look back and deal with some of the issues relating to dacs not being able to play hires. Not sure where he ultimately wants to go with MQ...

Re: MQN

Looks like a cooling off period is upon us which is a good thing after all the serious work over the past week by all involved in improving and testing MQN and particularly SBGK, time to recharge the batteries methinks particularly after events over recent days. At least now I am finally getting ti...

Re: MQN

SGBK - you are very welcome here!! And yes we are fairly civilised here - although still descended from the apes! Seriously though, well done on your efforts so far - it really is quite extraordinary. Fran Thanks for the welcome, expect a few more will follow me over, it's been a help reading about...

Re: MQN

Hi,

first post here, this site was very enthusiastic about MQn so am happy to be here, hope it's friendly . Will be interesting to see how far MQn can be developed, already have someone offering to improve the mqncontrol part and 2.60 sse4 intel 8 add must be nearing the end SQ wise.
