Chapter Audio Preface+ & Couplet

Post by Matt »

My new amps arrived on friday.

Im delighted with them. It took me a while to find what i was looking for as it had to fit into my Tv stand as well as suit my needs sonically. I bought them second hand from a dealer.
Its amazing what some real power can do to a loudspeaker, especially my Insensitive ATC's.
The power amp is rated at 215w/ch@8ohm's, 430w/ch@4ohm's and can put over 60amps peak current into a 1ohm load.
The power amp uses a switch mode power supply.

Here's a review i found on them http://www.terrason-audio.nl/cms/files/ ... review.pdf

Thanks Fergus
Im waiting on a Hifi Tuning fuse for the Ac inlet on the pre amp at the moment. The power amp doesn't need a fuse as it has a resetable switch fuse on the rear panel.

Hi Matt

I have been offered a good deal on a preface and couplet combination and if you don't mind would be very interested to hear your view on the combo since you bought it. Also which speakers would you recommend?

Thanks
