I have always been very fond of the Jazz pianist and radio broadcaster, Marian McPartland, may she rest in peace.
Marian McPartland- 1918-2013

Dear friends,

We are sorry to inform you that Marian peacefully passed away at the age of 95 in her home in Port Washington, NY. She died in her sleep at 11:58pm on Tuesday, August 20th (The Night of the Blue Moon), smiling, knowing that she was surrounded by family and friends.
She was a lovely pianist
