Freddie White McAuley Place Naas

Post by Derek »

Just in from catching Freddie in McAuley Place, Mrs Derek and me.
What can I say, he never disappoints, about 80 souls in all were treated to a wonderful night of great music in a venue that's just incredible.
He played self-penned and covers including, Guy Clark's; Desperadoes Waiting for a Train. Tom Waits; Grapefruit Moon & Martha.
Hoagy Carmichael - "Huggin And Chalkin"
His guitar work is legendary and his voice is in great form.
Two hours of intimate bliss.

Glad you enjoyed that gig Derek. It has been a long time since I have seen him live but I would have been a regular at his gigs at one time. He was always a great guitarist and always did great covers, particularily of Tom Waits.
