So I guess there are now cheaper high speed USB isolators now.
Got an email today announcing it.

yea me too

not reclocked and powered by usb its likely one for moddin
sd card player, modded soekris dac, class a lifepo4 amp or gb class a/b amp, diy open baffle speakers based on project audio mundorf trio 10's

Yep, figured at a minimum needs better power.
