Yuri Gargarin went into space on April 12, 1961 which was 60 years ago today.

Its great to see the buzz online about this.

For the ultimate in geekiness, can I recommend a youtube channel from a guy, "curious marc" who has posted a lot of videos on the Apollo computers and guidance systems - it is just astonishing how they were developed and worked.
