Review/Blog Sites of Classical Recordings

Post by james »

I came across this site (more or less by accident -- I was looking for a review of a CD by Kevin Volans) ..

Basically the owner of the site wrote 2000+ reviews for amazon.com and now he can't edit them because he is not buying from amazon.com but is buying from amazon.fr and amazon.co.uk .. Anyway he has decided to copy his reviews from amazon.com to his own site. He explains that this is a slow process since he wants to check if the CD's are still current. (So he describes it as a work in progress). I think he is French.

He is quite opinionated but in a good way (in my opinion) ..

As I said his site is very much a work in progress .. (He mentions both Bach and Beethoven but has very little in the way of reviews) ..

Here it is ..

Here he is on Honegger (which seems to be a complete list of everything ever recorded)

http://discophage.com/arthur-honegge ... s-french/

and here he is on Le-Monte Young (whom he does not like)

Apart from commenting on this particular site, maybe people can recommend other sites that review Classical CD's / Records.
