Vinyl records brush

Post by Brutus1968 »

Some time ago, while wondering in the Organised Store (Dundrum commercial center) I noticed a tool for desktop and pc:

I thought it could be useful also as a record brush. And it is indeed. The brush hairs are really tiny and soft, and the object itself is very ergonomic. The brush can be retracted using one finger (in this way it won't accumulate dust), and the microfiber pad can be used to clean displays. It totally replaced my standard carbon fiber brush. It is not anti-static, but using a specific solution when cleaning my records that is not a problem.

For my vinyl cleaning machine I use a shaving brush but it could be used everyday on dry vinyl too.
I went through two supplied and branded brushes which fell apart during use with heavy staples falling out on the vinyl (luckily no damage done) and have never had a problem with shaving brushes. You can pay from about €4 in a chemist to whatever you want money but badger hair seems best value.
