That is one hell of a battery.

Proportionally I guess the price is OK.

Any idea of what kind of terminals it uses?

Seems more useful for the computer with that power rating.

First you recommend the smaller of the A123 cells and now this?

well li-ion is second choice to lifepo4

tabs are just tabs i think i never had any of these

there are cylindrical ones too but the point is that there within the 4v comfort zone

gonna stick this here for reference
from hifiduino

Reference Voltage Supply

The most critical supply is the +/- 4V reference for the resistor ladder. This is generated by a “two step, first to +- 5V (by linear regulators), then to +-4V by precision low noise medium current opamps”; “-4V reference is sent though an inverter with 0.01% resistors generating the +4 reference”. The references are further “filtered and buffered for each rail and channel”.

The 8L05A and 9L05A are +5 and -5 Linear regulators [link]. Input to these regulators are the +/- rails (which could be 7 to 15V regulated or unregulated) . The outputs are filterd by 100uF capacitors.

So, I guess if we can find those capacitors ...

some hap hazard pics

just tested upsampling on the pc and its not bugging me as much as it usually and actually does it does improve many aspects
normundss could be right the digital filter may have a lot to answer for

i think i should have enough clean power going in now to surpass the 1794 but its not near there yet
the 1794 is in no digital filter mode
so i wonder is that the main issue

but that could be 2+2=5

looking forward to the filter options

the supply for the resistor ladder is gonna take a bit of study

Did you install the new firmware?

Did you compare the sound?

Thinking about that +- 4 volts supply - it has to be those chips next to the 100uF caps.

My concern would be - can one depend on the batteries to deliver absolutely stable voltage?

I suspect we will need to use a really good regulator to "charge" those batteries but will the battery be able to maintain a set voltage as well as a voltage regulator on its own?

hey

Im working on a budget here!!!!

sometimes there isnt even a cardboard box :()

anyway these thing dont ever seem to get out of the cardboard box stage

im hoping the digital filter options will turn this inside out
i hope/sense potential
