uploaded v25 control/loader, copy is now all in assembly code instead of calling an assembly function, which was adding noise.

that's the final sq version, next ones will be functional.

I think the versions that work with mqn.bat don't need mqnloader.
How come I can play v34 without mqnloader in the folder?

Most likely explanation is you're not playing from that folder.

just a note about control/loader v25 - it is a big improvement, hearing things I've not heard before and that's on the cheapo headphones and £15 dac, just get absorbed into the music which is as it should be.

check task manager, loader should be running before play starts.

First I would check if all you are trying out, is located in folder c:\musicplayer and not somewhere else!

Yes, just checked.
My MQn.bat was pointing elsewhere.
Sorry for that.

Is there anyway to have that music player folder in different place?
What I am trying to do is load win2012 to ram and have MQN folder on my ssd drive and play from there
Is that possible?
I just want to try it and compare
Any suggestions how to do it?
Thank you
