Diepenbrock was a contemporary of Mahler and primarily composed vocal works. Pijper lived in the first half of the 20th century, died in 47 of cancer. Both interesting and worth a look.

which is CD 1 from this recent 2 CD set purchase....

Donizetti: Messa Di Requiem....
....quite an operatic feel to this work which I suppose is understandable.

I have that recording on CD, it was my first introduction to Bruckner and I LOVED it.
