Okay, the reclock wiring is still confusing the $#!+ out of me. No pictures I can find with detailed wiring exposed.

Took me some googling just to figure out the potato flip flop is dual split left/right side. What I need to know is what outputs on the diyinhk board correspond to the pins of the flip flop. So far all I have with any detail is this post from hifiduino:
I connect pin 1,4,14 to Vcc, pin 7 to GND, pin 2 to BCLK and pin 3 to oscillator. Are my wiring correct? I can’t get any output from the flip-flop!!
The connections are correct.
So I'm guessing it goes something like the attached?

Are the outputs 1Q and 1Qbar (5 and 6)? Do those go to the master clock? Am I using Bclk AND master clock inputs from the diyinhk?

well unless your going to use the boutique potato logic 74 chips there may be little to no benefit of using this particular type of 74 logic not to mention you need two chips as each chip only has two channels
the pinout of a single 574 logic chip is far easier to implement http://www.mouser.ie/Semiconductors/Log ... 74&FS=True

sure! If they make things too complicated I'll get some single chip ones but yeah I'd like to give it a go...

yea your diagram looks ok
I2s connects to d and out on q
Inverted q is not used
Preset and clear is connected to vcc

Master clock to cp

All easy in theory but the wiring is a little messier than the 574 chips

Thanks nige. Turns out Amazon has 74HC574D available cheap w/ 2 day shipping so I could try that too...
