They don't sell just the little boards, right?

Regarding Audio-gd DA-M1, the output is 800mV RMS at 47ohm. Will this drive the Salas DCB1 pre-amp?
In the DA-M1 page, there are suggested analog output stages. Any ideas on suitable op-amps?
Kingwa says Audio-gd will design and sell an output stage for the DA-M1 if it sells well.

soekris is 1.2v and 625 ohm so 800 is just lower volume
dcb1 is just a buffer so will work the same as before
maybe an active transistor preamp

If you stoop as low as opamps, why not just get a DAC which already contains opamps? I reckon the whole point of R2R type DACs is to get a more tonally pure sound, one which is likely to be corrupted by the introduction of a weakly biassed classAB stage (as all opamps have).

Yes, that's also Kingwa's opinion.
The Audio-gd output stage would be discrete (although they draw an op-amp in the website).

Nigel is right.

This would be more interesting with many of us using this board.

I am not interested in balanced but what thoughts are thgere about the "push-pull" configuration?

At this price why not get four boards?

I am ready for something different. Just sent an inquiry for four boards.

For a buffer ZEN MOD's (DIYAudio - Pass Forum) up and coming diamond buffer is promising.

A diamond buffer suggests push-pull. I'd suggest an SE buffer is more likely to sound transparent than a push-pull.
