REW the Noddy help guide

In today's paper the "taking care of well-being and resilience" suggests "Learn Something New".

Well I'd like to measure my room using REW but know so little about it I may as well be trying to use the Hadron Collider.

I do have a UMIK-1 which I got from Santa last Christmas. I have a Surface Pro laptop (my son does have a Mac Book). The few Youtube videos that I have watch the start of have totally confused me as to how to connect to my system, which is falling at the very first step!

Can any of you guys throw some light on the process for me?
