Re: Devialet Phantom
I'll be going to cloneys in 2 weeks time for an audition. Been reading the forums and a lot of good things are written about them. I want to have a longer audition of their amps as well. Last time I was up there the amp was hooked up to a big pair of focals and playing a vinyl which was very smooth ...

Re: Online overseas classifieds
The euro being so low buying from other European countries seems to be the better deal at the moment. It always felt safer to me to buy on the usual UK forums but after conversion it is similar to buying 2nd hand from a dealer so might as well buy here if the right one comes along. I see an ad on do...

Re: Online overseas classifieds
These guys are really getting inventive its worrying but €2500 focal scala would be to be good to be true you wouldn't even get the diablos for that money. I guess we all wish that we can grab a bargain and the seller just wants to be rid of it or not knowing the true value.

Re: Online overseas classifieds
With bigger purchases I would be very reluctant to send any money before I speak with the person over the phone in addition to above photo. I mean you can tell if you want to do business with a person by exchanging just few sentences with him / her. Much better then even dozen of emails and anyway ...

Online overseas classifieds
Anyone buy or have any experiences buying from abroad from audio-markt.de? I know you have to be careful and look at the prices if they're realistic and feedback and everything but is the feedback in these type of sites reliable? Do the sellers accept paypal in general and does that give you suffici...

Re: Speakers in General.
Anyone following the threads on the devialet phantoms? The claims from such a small enclosure including amplifier, dac and wifi is amazing. Devialet seem to really be changing things around in the hifi world.

Re: Jriver synology nas
Thanks crom never thought of that but I would have to get another nas as there's no line in the room where equipments are.
I wonder if you can use the synology ds audio player and bypass the laptop altogether if connected directly through usb but I doubt it.

Re: Listening Session - Dacs/CDPs
Guess everyones different but after having problems with my sonos and not being able to access my nas I had to go back to my transport I boxed away in my attic. Hated the inconvenience of going back and forth putting in the cds and searching through a pile stacked a mile high looking for something t...
