A question, though: what were all those old analogue recordings made on? Were such tapes similar to this?

I dunno, sound aside, there's just something COOL about the look of a reel to reel tape.

I'll almost certainly make it to this, since my good friend Colette (whose birthday is today, as it happens) is the soprano soloist. That said, I wouldn't be expecting an especially "authentic" performance...
