Re: Ariston RD11 and Linn LP12

What a tragic end! So sad, but not unique, I'm sure.

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Don't know what to make of this, it certainly isn't blues. Wah wah and fuzz all over the place and Muddy Waters sounds nonplussed at times. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710FWVSTdEL._AC_SL1280_.jpg This is so much better https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ee/Hard_Again_LP%2C_Muddy_Wat...

Can confound me. Some stuff I love and some leaves me wondering whether they're taking the proverbial!

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Not a bit surprised, probably the worst sounding of his live output! (This is tongue in cheek, of course). Came to Neil around Freedom time. He's one of the few artists whose live lps I buy. Also love the Tuscaloosa lp and funnily enough Weld. https://www.therecordhub.com/cdn/shop/products/YOUNGTHE...

I can never get enough of Neil Young and Crazy Horse live. This album from 1990, recorded at a warm up gig in Santa Cruz for the Ragged Glory tour.

When your TD124 just isn't enough

I came across this the other day. Never saw or heard of it before and don't see the point of it, but a joy to watch all the same.

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

That John Mayall one looks great. Coincidentally, I was recommended this and gave it a listen on Tidal, and wish I hadn't bothered. Any of the originals I knew were just so much better than these rehashes. In my opinion they lack the hunger, chemistry and imagination that the original recordings hav...

I love the rawness of this, her ragged voice and the band sounding like they're on the point of falling apart but just keeping it together.

Re: What music are you listening to currently?

Started listening to this tonight. One of the last batch of Crimson Lps I bought. My God on 21st Century Schizoid Man I honestly thought my speaker cones were disintegrating! In a panic I played another Lp and it was fine. Read the rear sleeve notes and you’ll understand why. Fripp was most definit...
