Went to SoCal CanJam yesterday. Really enjoyed it. People were very nice across the board. Tried TheShow a few months back but wasn’t overly impressed, not a patch on previous US audio shows. I rented a wifi dongle from France and encountered the same issue when I tried to post it back through An Post. Had to send it DHL (but even DHL through An Post was a no go - had to go direct) and it cost me more than the actual rental.

Heading to this one on Sat. https://www.theshownow.com It has been a few years (pre Covid) since I have been to an audio show, looking forward to it. I used to really like the Denver Audio Show but sadly it is no more.

After many years in the US I will be relocating back to Ireland mid next year, might even get to see a few people in person over the coming years.

I have seen some really bad press/reviews on this. I thought they had actually withdrawn/paused building it. Not sure what the current state is - but it may all be OK now - they did pause but came back with a new pulley system which is supposed to address the speed issues. Anyway maybe dig a little ...

Made my first 2021 purchases. Replaced my Mac Mini (Music Server) with a SGC SonicTransporter Optical i9 and my microRendu streamer with a Sonore OpticalRendu Streamer with signature power supply. Overall big improvement - most of it from the opticalRendu.
