(Did anyone hear his interview with Miriam O'Callaghan yesterday morning? Car crash stuff - she clearly had never heard of him before. At one point she asked him did he think she should play Tom Jones' version or his own version of, 'You Can Leave Your Hat On'? Talk about insulting a master crafstman!)
Agreed, beige radio at its best.
Wish I could be there, one of my all time favourites, unfortunately not happening.
Hope its a great night for all who do make it there.

Where's a good spot for a drink beforehand?

For Digital Audio playback that delivers WHERE the performers are on stage but more importantly WHY they are there.

Off licence get plenty of bulmers and a few panadol for tomorrow morning.

Seriously very little around there. I think there are some 'nice' places on francis street but there is a place at the front on meath street which looks fine. All the randy's will be there so probably the place to go.

The front bar in Vicar Street itself is probably your best best. I always enjoy the pre-gig drinks there and the service is usually quite good.

Thanks! To my great shame (I'll admit it now) - I've never been to Vicar St before

Yea, just got that email too - I wonder is it because of lack of numbers or is he truly unwell (says the cynic in me) - I don't know which I would prefer - on the one hand I hope he is not sick; on the other hand I hope that he still is recognised as a seminal influence & master craftsman/songwriter!

Maybe Miriam scared him off!
