Of course, Dumbo can browse in hifi shop with credit limit of €20 while spouse luxuriates in BT's

I bumped into Jonathan during the week and we agreed that the new shop may end up being a creche for adult males while wives shop. Good result I'd have to say.

I can think of worse business models!

Had my first listen to the Avantgarde's this evening. Good grief they really do sound rather good. Great tone, timbre and massive scale. Took me a while to get used to sitting so close to the speakers considering how far apart they are placed.

I'd be more interested in hearing the smaller versions though as I think they'd be more suitable to smaller scale music such as accoustic and chamber music.

Some new Turntables coming in the next few weeks with some listening sessions planned too. :-)

In Mount St we were sitting much further back.... I think that space suited them better but what I heard yesterday was amazing too!

Here's the beauty a few weeks ago. The guys were very pleasant and had a great setup, if I had the money I'd have a pair of these. Good to see some more city centre presence.

Some of its matter of taste of course, but I also preferred a far field listening option. That was always source of gentle ribbing with David in the Listening Suite as I think he prefers the closer presentation. One way or the other they're always impressive!

Hopefully they can get some of the smaller 'Zero' models in at some point.
As impressive as the speakers were last night, the large scale of the presentation took a while to get used to, but a seriously good sound.
Didnt get a chance to hear any symphonic work though as we spent almost an hour after closing time talking about hifi.
