The Ifi-Audio iPhono in particular looks good value and...... with enough adjustment capabilities to drive you mad :) The Croft looks good too :)

+1 for the iPhono.
I use it here and am very happy with it - matched to my Project/Ortofon setup.
Tons of dip switches on the base for configuration. Well reviewed and nicely priced.

I'd highly recommend the Einstein "the turntable's choice" phono stage but they are very hard to come by (I think). I got a second hand one from KronosAV for £800 and would rate it a bargain at that. Very versatile and musical. You can see from the pic below it's worth having for the box alone! The impedance can be altered easily using the supplied RCA type plugs. You're very welcome to come over and hear it Fergus.

Yeah, Dave uses an Einstein CD player in his system, I don't think they sell them though. I believe the phono stage is the only product they make that doesn't use tubes... oddly enough it sounds very tube like!

I took a trip down to Noel Cloney and borrowed the Cyrus Phono X and PSU to try out. I loved what it did from the moment that I switched it on. However I did not want to be impulsive so I held on to it for a week trying out various different genres of music etc. and to see if the warm glow of satisfaction wore off in time. It did not so I went back down to Cloneys today to pay for it. Once again both Noel and Ivan were most helpful and forthcoming with both information and advice as always.
