Well done Dave you have jumped in the deep end the end of an era for Ivor.
Steve made a comment on my 57's when he heard them on the interesting
contrast between new and old.In my case CA and 57's with valves.
Hazard a guess Dave is one of very few that have ESL's with Devialet. I can imagine lots of
requests for listening sessions!

Spotlight is now on where Ivor is going next! Be very interesting to see what direction that might be.

Thanks lads. Haven't had that long with them yet as I had a visitor over last night after Ivor dropped them off so listening time has been limited so far. However what I've heard so far has been seriously impressive. I've heard Quads before but its the old hifi cliche in that you can never truely judge any of it fully until its in your own familiar room with familiar music. Vocals are spooky!

I'm surprised at how well the Devialet is driving them. The unit is a bit warmer as I have to go much further up the volume dial due to the sensitivity of the Quads being lower than the Audioplans.

Looking forward to the next few days and I'll post up further thoughts then. There is a hell of a lot of music lined up for them.

OMG ......... do they look great or do they look great?

Seriously cool I would say. I think you have a number of options there Dave, you could put them at the window end of the room and have them firing down the length of the room, amp and TT +Cd player could then swap positions with the telly. It's just an idea Dave, not telling you what to do or anything. Good to have options though.

Well done that man.......time to enjoy!!!!

That "destination speaker" beckons Ivor. Go on, go on. Us neighbours would be thrilled!
