OT I know, but there's an interesting interview with May Belt (wife of Peter Belt) in this months Stereophile. Interesting reading...

Simon,
I read elsewhere that PS Audio have brought out a new range of Power Plants just a couple of months ago. The new P10, P5 and the more 'affordable' P3.
Review of the P3 here:

Apparently some of the older Power Plant Premier units (the one that Ciaran has) show up occasionally on ebay etc for around the 800 Sterling. Haven't searched for any such units for sale but it was mentioned in a Power conditioning thread on another forum.

Thanks for that, Dave. It's one of those things I'd love to try, but I don't want to pay for!

I know in my case that's a long list.

Well if it solves your sound issues that you've mentioned here, I'm sure it would be well worth it.
Anyway I started to do some research on the PSAudio stuff as I've noticed that its on the weekends is when my system sounds its best by far. But during the middle of the week late in the evenings its usually not quite as engaging with the odd hint of glare at times. Some of that may be down to just tiredness after work. There are nearly 400 apartments next to me as well as some large marine workshops too so there *might* be an issue with electricity supply from time to time. Its nothing major though but it is something I've noticed.

That's interesting to hear. I still find it difficult to separate reality from changes dun to my mental state, but I'm convinced the effect is widespread to a greater or lesser extent. Early Sunday mornings are great...

It would interesting even to just get a lend of one of those PS audio things and just make note of the incoming THD figures over a week or two.
Cloney's are not listed on the PSAudio site as being a distributor so I dont know if they deal with them any longer.

Dave, I bought a AG1500 AC ReGenerator 1500W PSU from
http://upsmart.co.uk about 3 months ago at a discounted price of about £300 and have not looked back since.
No need for the additional battery just the regenerator.
I was going through the same good and bad days with listening and convinced myself it was down to power.
I think the promotion is over now and they retail at about £500 but if you want to borrow it for a week and try it out send me a PM.
There is a thread on these units here:

Cheers, Pearse.
