No Ivor, I thought that this link was a 'wind up' but it is not. I would like to try out one of the 6L6s in my guitar amp but it seems that the company is still at the development/testing stage.
*Edit* Further reading indicates that Thomann are agents for AMT Electronics but the Thomann website does not mention solid state valves.

Intersting alright. There have been similar things before, but not to great success - however, these may be the bees knees. I'm not familiar with AMT so don't know their pedigree? I suspect that a regular 6L6 wil be cheaper!

There has been replacements around since the 70s but they never seem to have taken off, wonder why......
