James "Model T" Ford - RIP.

It's not often you get to see, and indeed meet, a genuine blues legend but a few of us did sometime back at a gig in Whelans. Sadly Model T passed away today. Fat Possum records say he was 94 but he didn't seem to know that. Actually if I remember correctly he wasn't sure what age he was!

The first video clip here is a cracker...





and he did like Jack Daniels!

Sad to see a true legend pass on.
That gig was every bit as memorable as the man himself, it was a genuine pleasure to meet the man.

Rip indeed...

I was at the gig and shook his hand after.... Which was huge, about 3 times the size of mine!
