You guessed it, 617 indeed. Not sure why Photoshop requires 8 bit depth instead of 16. Anyway all in the learning curve!!

It is truly staggering just how much detail analogue film can hold vrs digital, at least 20% more on 35mm and when you move to MF or larger digital is just not at the races at all.

I took this one last Sunday in Wicklow. Its a scan of a 5x4 sheet film neg - I'm looking forward to printing it!!

Hi Fran. That is a lovely image and should be relatively straightforward to print as it is well exposed. It has quite a good tonal range without any major tonal contrasts.
