Aleg, I guess you mean 8.29. ;-) (although the 3.29 wasn't bad either). Beside this: My lowest buffersize is 1ms, the 576 version works and sounds well!
Fujak, with WaveIO/thesycon ?
Yes (latest driver vers.).

Strange, as I run the Diverter with Thesycon 2.23 as well.
What version of AO are you running? i believe you're running 1.30 like I am.
So why the difference?

Does your PC crash when running the 64 packet size?

No, the PC doesn't crash, but 64 packet size doesn't work. Which buffersize do you have at the Thesycon driver?

I use the 2 ms setting (Low Latency) and run WIn2012R2 in minimal server mode.

Strange thing.
I feel I may have do a reinstall of the OS if there are these kind of differences.

8.32 avx2 64, the only version which runs in my setup: Recycle.bin (but better than 8.31).

MqnPlay2496.exe

830 avx2 576 and 64 both play fine on Hugo/i3Haswell

832 avx2 64 also plays fine too.

Strange observation, I played a complete 2496 album and sound was excellent. When it was finished I was doing something else and left it unattended while I was still beside the PC when it suddenly restarted . No problem with play and sounding good but I was surprised to see a restart. Definitely happened once and maybe twice.

8.30 avx2 64 and 576 work fine with Amanero driver, i7 ivy bridge, W8.1 core N mildly JC optimized, no AO, no setTimerResolution.
No system crash, no strange sound, just good music. CPU temperature just gets some 3 degree C higher.
The interesting part is that with Jplay 5.2.1 loaded as service which sets the clock to 0.5 ms, the sound stage gives greater depth and instruments gets more focused. 64 is much better than 576 on micro details and transparency. Bass is well controlled.
Some increase in bass impact would be nice, just personal preference.
Couldn't stop listening. Only that most of my tracks are 16,44 .

Win 8.1, APLHiFi DAC-S.
mqnplay 1644.exe 8.33 normal works fine here.
A short listen -
8.16 normal > 8.33 normal
Gigabyte H97M-D3H with PPA OCXO module. i7-4790T, 800MHz. 8GB Ram, 800MHz.
PPA 2-rail LPSU & Pico. JCAT battery for OS-SSD and PPA v3 USBcard.
Server 2012 R2, AO 1.40. APL HiFi DAC-S, upd. Only use 1644 .wav
