Listening to this on Qobuz because I did a Facebook quiz that told me to. Absolutely gorgeous, from 1955 in some of the most life-like mono I've ever heard. I know it makes me sound like an old fart, but I still can't quite get over the amount of music we now have available to listen to at a swipe and a click.

Voices.
Max Richter's new composition is a quite beautiful discourse on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Melancholic as ever.

Listening to this brilliant album from his band Magnolia Electric Company.

There is a great documentary about the recording of this album available on YouTube:

Your post a while ago alerted me to this band. Of course I didn't check them out until recently. Last nights piece on RTE told me enough....Just hope he doesn't turn into another Bono ;)
There is a slight danger of that. The first album could have been written by WB Yates on a sick day. Having heard the second one... and I had fears, I am relieved. It's brilliant.
Definitely brilliant in my opinion too guys.
Love that Ivor...WB Yeats on a sick day.

Also loving this. PW can almost do no wrong in my eyes and his latest is a great summer album...if you like that sort of thing!

This triple beauty arrived earlier. Vol. 2 of course. My weekend's just got a whole lot better.

The only annoying aspect of this release is.....there's no booklet. A link is given for an 'online essay' alright but cannot be accessed. No way am I getting the CD edition just for the book 📚 Record companies, don't you just love them!

Maybe this is it?? https://www.legacyrecordings.co.uk/news ... -beginning

Just bought it the other day-still to be played. Must say I did enjoy the Mercury Rev version of it.
