Amazing gig last night, if anyone is able to, get along to Belfast/Dublin shows.
Gigs you might like...
Re: Gigs you might like...
Oh I thought he had retired! Glad you enjoyed the show. Had a brief look at the live videos. He seems to be a little more relaxed and at ease than usual. Good for him. I loved the "Good Times Bad Times" drumming sensation. His feet could barely reach the pedals lol! Great stuff!tweber wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 7:49 pm ]Robert Plant & Saving Grace

To my shame Dermot I knew nothing about the band but they were stunning. They were introduced as Saving Grace only and there was no pretentious crap. RP was one of five very talented musicians. Played mostly American folk as heard on Band of Joy , Raising Sand and Patty Griffin lps. He was relaxed throughout the show and very generous to the other musicians who were brilliant. They all looked like they enjoyed the show and so did the audience. My only criticism was it ended too quickly.cybot wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 11:43 pmOh I thought he had retired! I tried to blag my way into their gig in Galway last week but I didn't succeed. They were playing in a church there and I know the organist well, but for some reason security thought that was an insufficient reason to let me in...

I saw the band in the Everyman in Cork last Monday - outstanding gig - very swampy and dark stuff.
Quite brilliant band. Excellent guitarists - one like Ry Cooder the other reminded me of Lowell George.
Catch em if you can.
